Just 5 minutes in and I was already laughing, and thought “hey this isn’t bad!” So I continued, but then I noticed something that irked me.
>Hoshikawa and Junko had a blind date because the guy wanted the girl for marriage WITHOUT considering the other person’s thoughts.
>Junko refuses countless times. Hoshikawa kept on pushing, following her everywhere, forcing her to places she doesn’t want to go, and locking her up so she won’t be able to leave his side without thinking about their possible marriage.
>Junko’s parents doesn’t mind Hoshikawa’s actions.
If this show is trying to promote how to win a woman’s heart then it’s doing a very bad job. I gotta admit some of these scenes made me laugh but after a while it got me thinking, “Only in dramaland will a guy forcing/stalking a girl into marriage be cute.”
Though despite these negatives, I can’t deny that this drama has its likable moments. The couple has pretty good chemistry, and if you don’t mind how their relationship started then I think this show’s okay.
Aside from that, this show has so many ships! So far I’ve only seen one side couple which is Arthur and Momoe’s loveline, and I’m liking it very much. It’s one of the reasons why I kept on watching, and now I’m on episode 5. I’m halfway thru and I hope it won’t go bad or boring or disappointing. I really hope Hoshikawa’s attitude get better, or even their relationship. Their feelings better become mutual soon so I would stop thinking this monk’s a jerk.
