Well hello there friends! I haven’t been blogging and bloghopping for the past few days because I had colds and fever, and you know why? It is because I was too lazy to use an umbrella haha! I thought channeling The Flash would help so that I could just run and avoid drops of rain from awakening the fever soldiers in my body, but I was wrong, so always bring and use your umbrella because superheroes get sick too lol
Anyway enough rambling now. 😀
For today’s TTT topic, I would be listing my top ten blogging confessions, but in my case I will list down my top ten book blogging confessions.
1. I write my thoughts/review immediately after I read a book.
I easily forget things and I like writing my thoughts while my feels and memories are still fresh. If I don’t have my laptop with me, I’ll just write my thoughts on my ipad or any paper or notebook.
2. I use write a LOT of notes.
Since I don’t really have a book buddy at home and because I like commenting on what’s happening on the book, I just write them down. I don’t really prefer updating my Goodreads book update from time to time because I might annoy my friends and followers, because when I say a LOT it means I can finish a bundle of sticky notes in just one book. And yes, I hoard sticky notes lol.
3. As much as possible I avoid cussing in my posts.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed but I rarely, sometimes never, use cuss words in my reviews. I do cuss especially if I am really annoyed and irritated, but sometimes I feel uncomfortable seeing them in my post because in real life I rarely curse people or things. I don’t really mind reading them on other blogs because it makes their post more humorous and it makes me laugh, but on mine? Naaah. It’s not really me.
4. I avoid reading reviews of books I will review too.
I want my thoughts unbiased and I like avoiding spoilers.
5. I like GIFs.
But they don’t love me.
Yes they take time to load and they are sometimes a pain to look for but I think they help in expressing what you feel about a book and I think they add more humor to a blog post. But on the contrary, I rarely use them because whenever I try putting GIFs on my posts, they tend to look lame.
6. I am a nocturnal blogger.
I usually write my reviews or blog posts past 12 midnight. I feel like my thoughts are more spontaneous and free flowing during the wee hours of the night. (This post sounds so thoughtless I must admit, you want to know why? I wrote this post after I woke up, this morning. Yeah.)
7. I am a compulsive clicker.
Yes, someone should put a leash or chain on my finger the next time I visit Amazon or Netgalley. This is very bad.
8. Sometimes I feel like my blog doesn’t show my true character
Did I even make sense? Was it too boring? Did I explain myself clearly? Did I write this? These are just some of the questions I ask myself whenever I re-read my blog posts. Sometimes I wonder if people judge me through my post or if they assume I am this kind of person because of my likes and dislikes.
9. I envy those blogs with pretty layouts and design.
I don’t really have an artsy-fartsy cell on my body so I just rely on what a theme could offer my blog. I know, I am lame.
10. There are times when I feel like blogging dictates what to read next.
I love reading, but sometimes I feel this pressure of reading for-review books first before my me-books. Whenever I look at my book calendar and see that one of my tbr book will be released this week, I panic. O.O
So how about you? Any blogging confessions you want to share?
